Where to stay

Near White Scar Cave is a choice of places to stay, ranging from the simple to the luxurious.  Many are built in traditional stone, and are in rural locations with fine views.

Guest Houses

Ingleton, 1 mile from the cave, has the Wheatsheaf and many guest houses, including Seed Hill, Bridge End and Inglenook. 3 miles away at Burton-in-Lonsdale is River Cottage. Kirkby Lonsdale (4 miles) has The Blue Pig and Lavender House.
 

Hotels

The Royal Hotel is at Kirkby Lonsdale, and at nearby Cowan Bridge is Hipping Hall. In Skipton (14 miles) are The Rendezvous Hotel and Unicorn Hotel, while Lancaster (17 miles) offers Holiday Inn, Best Western, and the Scarthwaite Hotel.
 

Farmhouses

Gatehouse Farm and Dale House Farm are near Ingleton. At Middleton in Lonsdale (7 miles) is the 18th century High Green farmhouse and working farm.
 

Self-catering

Near Ingleton are Pinecroft Lodges, Ingleborough Cottages, West View Barn, and Oysterber Farm Holiday Cottages.  Churchmouse House and Jasmine Cottage are in Kirkby Lonsdale.
 

Campsites

Moorgarth Farm campsite in Ingleton is tents only.  Touring caravans may be pitched at Gallaber Farm in nearby Burton in Lonsdale.
